You may feel as though forward movement is being thwarted right now; as though you are being asked (or forced) to stop and stay.
This is not punishment and nothing is wrong.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the busy rush of life that we get pulled off center and away from what truly matters to us.
This is a time to come back to our values; the truth of our core joys. To be fearless in our acknowledgement of what makes each of us unique, what is each of ours to bring.
And then, from that place of connection and rooted wholeness, to share that with others and the world- *not* from a place of hierarchy and dominance/submission (the way we may have been taught)- but from a new understanding of relationship.
Within the wholeness of our self-containment, we are male/female, creator and sustainer, potential and manifest, student and teacher.
*AND* self-containment, wholeness... do not mean to be alone, separate. We need others to truly thrive, we need others to help us learn and grow and feel fulfilled.
This wholeness-to-be-connected is the new way of approaching relationships, of sharing what we know, of seeding the future with the examples we want to see.
Learn about the relationships you want by learning how your Self wants you to relate to it. Learn about your Self, by learning from what the external relationships are mirroring to you.
Just because something is how it’s always been doesn’t mean it’s right. Question your way back to quiet, back to Knowing, back to your body. Question your way back to relationship.

The difference between an open fist and a closed one is Love and trust.
We have here a reminder that systems which encourage hoarding, me vs them, compromises that are actually sacrifices, are literally anti-nature.
And then there is the past-future. The abuelita. The wise woman who lives and makes beauty in her community by following the things she loves. Your future self that has followed your joy and can look back and say, “you don’t know it now but the seeds you’re planting become the beauty you dream of. Keep going.”
Systems do not change overnight. But change they must. Where can compromises be made in ways that no longer hurt?
Where, like the tides, can we open and close? Where can we neither minimize nor make too much of our experience, our humanness?
Trust begins within and then gets mirrored from without. We get shown how to trust from without to learn how to feel it within.
There is no other.
Are the relationships in your life ones that return your trust and help you find it when it’s lost? Do your wellness practices, your spiritual practices help you learn to open and close, to take in and release, to share your heart with anyone willing to be moved by it?
That which moves you deeply is the path. Let yourself be moved. The seeds you’re planting now become the beauty you dream of. Keep going.

How often do we feel torn between ‘glamour’ or ‘illusion’, and the ‘cold, hard truth’?
We split ourselves in two thinking the miraculous is impossible, the magical is unreal, the spiritual and the rational are distinct and separate.
If you hear me talk about wholeness a lot, it’s because fragmentation and compartmentalization are the center of many, if not most, if not all of our imbalances and dis-ease patterns.
So wholeness becomes the touchstone, the guiding orientation that brings us back to healthy attunement.
Be careful of voices, yours or others, who try to force you into smaller camps based on similarities. Be careful of anyone who sounds too magical and anyone who sounds too ‘realistic’.
We live in a world of wonder and discernment happens at the pace of the Earth, not the mind.
Slow down. Get clear. Listen deep. Hold firm and yet, be moved. ‘Unmovable’ is not an identity but a stabilizing force. ‘Magical’ is not an identity but the unfurling of a leaf, in moment-to-moment expressions of possibility.
Become whole, again.
It’s who you’ve always been.

Look around for a moment and take stock of what bounty you do have. It is so easy, with our eyes forward in our heads, to always be looking to the future, dreaming and scheming.
Hunger and thirst for life, desire- they get us out of bed, help us stay in action, fuel our innovations.
And staying focused on what we don’t have for too long can lead us to feeling dissatisfied, ungrounded, ungrateful.
So pause here from the wanting and the hunting. Come back to gratitude for a moment. See things as they are, accept and tend them as they are.
Perhaps the seeds for the future you want aren’t somewhere out there, but are present in what you already have.
What if desire isn’t always reaching for something new but letting go of something you have so it can return again, in a new form, at a later date.
Mutuality- relationship through appreciation, ritual, and give and take. Acting as though your thriving is dependent on everyone and everything thriving.
Where you have gotten, perhaps it’s time to give something back.

There is an embodied wisdom that is our birthright.
It does not gives us answers but helps us live our way into them.
Human supremacy beliefs and ways of living on but not in the world are hurting us; body-mind-soul.
When we take our place within life, within our bodies, within the legacies (beneficial and painful) left us by those who came before- we can be in flow.
We become present and attuned. This is different from hyper vigilance and anxious scanning for safety. This is also different than being ‘checked out’.
It’s being in touch with our animal instincts and the inner (and outer) trust that comes from knowing we’re adaptive and responsive. It’s playful and able to take risks and innovate. It’s creative and successful because of its failures.
The freedom you want isn’t impossible. Nor is it some distant ways into the future. It’s right here and now- through relationship with self and beyond-self. It is both ancient and emergent.
Breathe in. Breathe out. You’re alive.
